The Blackcaps have included batsman Mark Chapman in the squad for the five-match ODI series against Pakistan starting on April 27. Chapman was in excellent form during the T20I series, top-scoring with 290 runs, including a match-winning 104* in the final game. Blackcaps head coach Gary Stead praised Chapman’s performances and said his inclusion in the ODI squad would be a boost to the team. With the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 coming up, both teams will use the series as an opportunity to test their squads and find their best combinations. New Zealand sits at the top of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League standings, having won 16 of their 25 matches.
