Washington Sundar Ruled Out of IPL 2023 Season Due to Hamstring Injury

The Sunrisers Hyderabad allrounder, Washington Sundar, has been ruled out of the current IPL season due to a hamstring injury. This is the third consecutive season that Washington has been plagued by injuries. He has played seven matches this season, scoring 60 runs and taking three wickets. In 2021, he missed the UAE leg due to a finger injury, and in January 2022, he missed the India-South Africa ODI and T20I series due to Covid-19 and a hamstring injury, respectively. In IPL 2022, he missed four games due to a split webbing in his bowling hand, and last August, he injured his left shoulder while playing for Lancashire, causing him to miss the ODI series against Zimbabwe.
